Along with the ability to send alerts to your iPhone you do have the option of selecting which alerts you do not want to receive notification from. All alerts have options to disable and set a longer delay before the next alert. Keep in mind Nutanix Storage Controllers also self heal. While a storage controller is down on Nutanix the remaining virtualized storage controllers will pick up the load while the cluster health is restored.
